The
artist’s residency brings the Jewish arts to your community through
a dynamic weekend of workshops and performances.
Bringing
in the artist for two to three days provides a wonderful opportunity
to bring storytelling to a wide group o people including families, children,
and teachers as well as a general audience.
The
residency begins with a Friday night performance, as part of the Shabbat
service. The fun continues on Saturday with the Family Storytelling
Workshop, following services. The entire family will participate in
this dynamic adventure in Jewish storytelling, where they will create
and perform original tales. Sunday school students will be treated to
the Imagination Workshop where they will bring important Jewish themes
to life through the oral tradition.
Storytelling
is a great way to get back in touch with our Jewish heritage. The residency
is the perfect place to begin that journey.
